The Generation Peace Academy kicked off their year with a two-day workshop guiding new participants to a place of commitment for all the experiences that will come their way during the year. On Sunday, September 11, 2016, GPA heard from Dr. Ki Hoon Kim, who gave them a warm welcome and shared about how he joined the Unification movement. Then on the September 17, GPA went to Washington, D.C. for the 40th Anniversary of the Washington Monument Rally, offering a helping hand, and participating in the Peace Road rally. For the final part of their kickoff workshop, GPA came together for three days of Divine Principle education and heard a message by Dr. Michael Balcomb.

We’d like to welcome some special visitors from Korea—the Wives of Tongil Group and Tongil Foundation Staff—who are visiting the USA to learn firsthand about True Parents’ activities and legacy in America. 45 of the Tongil Group leaders arrived in New York on September 27, and enjoyed a breakfast presentation the following morning with Dr. Ki Hoon Kim. On the 29^th, they visited East Garden for a one day Divine Principle seminar given by Rev. Ki Yeal Lee. For many, it was their first time hearing about True Parents’ peace activities and learning the Divine Principle. The next stops on their visit will be Niagara Falls and Washington, D.C.

On Saturday, September 24, over 40 young adults gathered in Clifton, New Jersey for a one-day seminar hosted by the Collegiate Association for the Research of Principles (CARP) and the Special Task Force / Generation Peace Academy (STF/GPA) Alumni Association.
