If you are interested in a career of public service, consider applying to the University of Bridgeport’s (UB) College of Public and International Affairs (CPIA) by March 31, 2017 and see if you qualify for the unique and generous scholarship opportunities available through the Professors’ World Peace Academy (PWPA).
CPIA majors focus on public service, specializing in such disciplines as International Political Economy & Diplomacy, Religion & Politics, Criminal Justice & Human Security, Communication Studies, Martial Arts Studies, and the Social Sciences. The College also offers graduate programs in Global Development & Peace, Global Media & Communication Studies, and in East Asian & Pacific Rim Studies.
PWPA first embarked on a partnership with the University of Bridgeport in 1992. Since that time students from around the world have come to UB, located just 40 minutes away from Tarrytown and an hour away from New York City, including hundreds of young Unificationists who have felt very welcome and at home.
Recent graduates of the university have been recipients of Fulbright, Gilman, United States Department of State and William Clinton scholarships. Some have gone on to do graduate study and win scholarships to Harvard, Yale, Cornell, Columbia, and Georgetown, while others have worked for the United Nations, the FBI, the United States Peace Corps, Price Waterhouse Coopers, Goldman Sachs, Bank of America, and Universal Peace Federation (UPF).
Scholarships may also be available in a number of other majors offered at the University of Bridgeport, including undergraduate liberal arts programs and graduate programs in Education and in Counseling.
