On November 18, 12 churches including the Los Angeles Family Church and the City of Refuge Church gathered for a “Christianity in Crisis” revival. The theme of “Christianity in Crisis” was chosen in response to the ever-growing division with America as a society and within Christianity itself. The burden of these crises lies in the breakdown of the family and moral collapse of the youth. Therefore, 12 churches assembled to invite the Holy Spirit to come down allowing the body of Christ to experience rebirth to tackle the ever-growing crisis.
The event was composed of a praise and dance worship service by the Spirit of David band, an opening prayer by former pastor of F.A.M.E. Church, Dr. Cecil Murray, along with a powerful message of hope by the chairman of the American Clergy Leadership Conference, Dr. Michael Jenkins.
Following these events, the keynote address was offered by Bishop Noel Jones of the City of Refuge Church, speaking directly about Christianity’s crisis and the responsibility we have towards the world.
The spirits were riding high and the testimonies spoke of restored hearts being lifted from long heaviness, non-Christian students having Holy Spirit experiences, and tears of joy as people of all denominations danced, sang, and embraced one another.
